ovrEngineered is an independent technology company. We build and operate a small number of our own software products, and we take on bespoke engineering work that spans firmware, hardware, and cloud.
Most of what we work on sits in the gap between an off-the-shelf product and a full custom build — problems too specific for general-purpose software, but too small to interest a large vendor. That constraint shapes everything: we favor systems that a small team can operate reliably for years, and we would rather ship something narrow that works than something broad that almost does.
The company has two halves. The first is our own products, which we design, run, and support ourselves. The second is client engineering, where we are usually brought in for work that crosses boundaries — a device that needs firmware and a circuit board and a phone app and a backend, with one team accountable for all of it.

Operations software for ski patrol organizations. Duty scheduling, time tracking, member roster management, ski-swap events, and patrol-wide alerts — replacing the scattered spreadsheets, group texts, and paper sign-up sheets that most patrols run on today.
Access is invite-only and controlled by each patrol's directors. PatrolKit is open source.
Bespoke engineering, usually for connected devices that need more than one discipline to get built.
Bare-metal and RTOS firmware for microcontrollers, including wireless connectivity, low-power operation, and audio pipelines.
Schematic capture, PCB layout, and board bring-up for low-power connected devices, carried through from prototype to a manufacturable design.
Native iOS applications and serverless backends on AWS — the companion apps and infrastructure that connected hardware needs in order to be useful.
